Privacy and storage

Who runs this site, what it stores in your browser and what happens when you play a video from YouTube. Last reviewed on 1 November 2026.

Who runs this site

This site is run by Fernando Muñoz (GitHub: nandovejer), who also writes LUZ. It has no ads, no analytics and no accounts, and it does not ask you for personal data. This site does not set cookies itself.

Where it is hosted

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records the IP address of visitors to its servers for security, and we cannot see those records. How GitHub Pages treats visitor data is explained on GitHub.

What is stored in your browser

The site keeps a few small items in your browser’s local storage. Each one is written only after you do something that asks for it, such as choosing a color mode. None is sent to a server, and each is used only for what its row says.

Videos from outside

One page of this site, Embed, can play a video from YouTube. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play and agree.

If you play the video, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and details of your browser, and may store information on your device. We receive none of it. From then on, the privacy policy of Google applies.

Without JavaScript, the video is a link to YouTube. If you follow it, you leave this site.

The only choice this site asks you about is the one for YouTube videos. If you have not answered, the question is at the bottom of this window. Use the button to see it again and change your answer.

Without JavaScript the question and the button stay hidden, because the video is only a link and the site stores nothing.
